Britney Spears tells fans she's "flattered" that they're "concerned with my life"

Britney Spears is letting her fans know she's thinking about them as much as they're thinking of her.

On Monday, Britney shared a nearly two-minute long, never-before-seen video of herself standing in the sunlight while staring directly at the camera. It was set to "He Loves Me (Lyzel In E Flat)" by Jill Scott.

Explaining that the cryptic video was "shot last year" as part of her mysterious "A Touch of Rose" campaign, Britney wrote in the caption, "These specific takes have never been seen so it's sort of new to me!"

"I have over 10 minutes of video for the Rose project and trust me that's A LOT," Britney continued.

While not directly mentioning her ongoing conservatorship battle or the explosive Framing Britney Spears documentary, the singer then added, "Happy to share -- especially with a world that is empathetic and concerned with my life...what can I say I'm FLATTERED!!!"

Britney closed out her post with "Here's to another beautiful summer of popsicles and sunbathing," adding three sunshine and winking-face-with-tongue emojis.

But while fans are trying to interpret that caption, they're are also trying to crack another mystery the singer left on her Instagram page hours earlier.

Prior to uploading her short video, the "Toxic" singer shared two images -- one of a pink flower and the other of a frame from the 90s animated movie The Swan PrincessShe used the same series of unrelated emojis in their respective captions.

Fans pick up on meaningful new Easter egg in Taylor Swift’s new merchandise drop

Beth Garrabrant

It's only been a few days since Taylor Swift released her highly anticipated re-recorded album Fearless (Taylor's Version), but fans have already picked up on an Easter egg hidden in her new line of merchandise.

Among the many offerings promoting the newly re-recorded 2008 album is a pendant that fans immediately recognized as being a replica of a piece of jewelry Taylor wore 13 years ago.

Fans were quick to note that something called a "Capture It, Remember It" vault key necklace -- which has now sold out -- resembled a copper key necklace Taylor wore on the original cover art for Fearless.

The pendant, which contains Taylor's initials inside the upside-down heart, was a clever nod to the fact that Taylor has unlocked the "vault" that contained six never-before-heard songs from her past.  But it also united the past and present in a meaningful gift to fans.

In the new cover art for Fearless (Taylor's Version), the singer is not wearing the necklace, which fans assume means that she's passing that piece of her life onto them.

As one fan explained, "Taylor really used to wear key necklaces all the time during the fearless era and now she’s giving us one to the fearless vault."

Ahead of the release of Fearless (Taylor's Version) fans also speculated that her blouse on the cover photo was a deliberate nod to the shirt "Romeo" wore in the romantic ending of her original "Love Story" music video.

'American Idol' recap: The Top 12 revealed, plus who dropped out

ABC/Eric McCandless

The results are in!

Monday night's episode of American Idol revealed who America voted into the Top 10, but before they got down to business it was announced that Luke Bryan was absent due to testing positive for COVID-19. The show found an epic replacement in veteran Idol judge Paula Abdul, who took a seat beside Katy Perry and Lionel Richie

Additionally, it was announced that contestant Wyatt Pike had to drop out of the competition for an undisclosed reason. Nonetheless, as they say in showbiz, the show must go on -- and it did.

One by one host Ryan Seacrest revealed the fate of the remaining contestants and whether or not America voted them into the Top 10. After finding out how America voted, the American Idol hopefuls then performed a song of their choosing.

For the five talented singers that America did not vote into the Top 10, this performance offered them a second chance to "sing for their lives" in hopes that the judges -- who had the power to save two contestants and push them through to the next round and into the Top 12 -- would pick them.

Here are the results after Monday's episode.

Top 10
Casey Bishop
"House of the Rising Run" The Animals

Deshawn Goncalves
"Higher Ground" Stevie Wonder

Cassandra Coleman
"Light On" Maggie Rogers

Caleb Kennedy
"Nowhere" Caleb Kennedy

Ava August
"Love Of My Life" Queen

Chayce Beckham
"What Brings Life Also Kills" Kolton Moore & The Clever Few

"Dangerous Woman" Ariana Grande

"Waves" Dean Lewis

Madison Watkins
"Hotline Bling" Drake

"Grow As We Go" Ben Platt

Alanis Sophia
"Heart Attack" Demi Lovato

Graham DeFranco
"Cover Me Up" Jason Isbell

The judges saved Madison and Beane. Officially ending Colin, Alanis, and Graham's American Idol journeys.

Coming up next week, for the first time this season, American Idol will have live voting with the results revealed that same evening. And, in an extreme twist, the show is inviting back 10 finalists from last season to come back and fight for a spot in the current competition.

It all goes down when American Idol returns Sunday, April 18 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Natasha Bedingfield gets in on the "Unwritten" TikTok dance craze

Amy Sussman/Getty Images

Natasha Bedingfield’s “Unwritten” is being rewritten for TikTok.

The 2004 song, which was famously used as the theme song for MTV’s The Hills, is soundtracking the latest dance craze on the app -- and even Natasha has gotten in on the action.

In a TikTok duet posted over the weekend, the singer shows herself doing the dance to a remixed version of the song. She shared the video on Instagram, with a caption about what “Unwritten” means to her.

“The essence of Unwritten is about how wonderful, unexpected things can happen at any moment, and these tik tok dances I keep seeing recently couldn’t be more wonderful and unexpected!” Natasha writes.

“It’s a real joy to attempt to keep up (even if I make a fool of myself!),” she adds, shouting out the creators of the dance. “...It looks impressive but really complex. Maybe one of the OG dancers in these amazing videos can teach it to me, or I might need @derekhough to help me learn it!”

“Thanks to all for this beautiful surprise,” Natasha concludes. “It’s all Unwritten.”

Report: Madonna buys The Weeknd's mansion for more than $19 million

Kevin Mazur/Child2014/WireImage

Let's face it: There's a very small universe of people with $20 million or so to spend on a house, so maybe that's why celebrities seem to spend all their time buying mansions from each other.

TMZ reports that Madonna has just shelled out $19.3 million for a home in Hidden Hills, California that belongs to The Weeknd.  The Canadian star first listed the home in June of last year for just under $25 million, so the Queen of Pop got a bit of a bargain.

The "Blinding Lights" singer bought the home in 2018 for just over $18 million.  It features nine bedrooms, nine-and-a-half bathrooms and 12,000 square feet of living space, and sits on three acres with a giant pool.

With six children, Madonna probably needs that kind of space.

Meanwhile, The Weeknd has moved on to a $25 million Beverly Hills penthouse bachelor pad, which he purchased in 2019.

Bruno Mars tops chart with Silk Sonic, Olivia Rodrigo sets record with "Deja Vu"

Harper Smith

Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak have walked through the door and to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 with their debut single.

The two men, recording as Silk Sonic, have scored their first number-one hit with "Leave the Door Open," the first release from the duo project.  This is Anderson's first Hot 100 number one, and Bruno's eighth.  But the song has made the quickest trip to the top out of all of Bruno's previous hits, hitting the pinnacle in just five weeks.

Bruno previously reached the top with “That’s What I Like,” “Just The Way You Are,” “Grenade,” “Locked Out Of Heaven,” “When I Was Your Man,” “Nothin’ On You" with B.o.B, and  “Uptown Funk!" with Mark Ronson.

Meanwhile, Olivia Rodrigo's experiencing deja vu when it comes to the chart success of her new single of that same name.  The track debuts at number eight on the Hot 100, making her the first artist ever to send her first two official singles straight into the top 10 on that chart.  Her first, "Drivers License," debuted at number one in January.

Finally, Australian rapper Masked Wolf -- born Harry Michael -- has scored his first top 10 with "Astronaut in the Ocean."

Stylist claims Justin/Janet wardrobe malfunction was a deliberate attempt to one-up Britney/Madonna

Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic

If one stylist is to believed, Justin Timberlake's breakup with Britney Spears wasn't just messy: It indirectly sparked one of the most controversial and talked-about pop-culture moments of the past twenty years.

The stylist, Wayne Lukas, tells Page Six that Justin and Janet Jackson's infamous 2004 Super Bowl "wardrobe malfunction" -- which involved Justin Timberlake tearing off the top of Janet's outfit to reveal her breast -- only came about because Justin wanted to one-up Britney.

According to Scot Lukas, Justin "insisted on doing something bigger" than what had happened a few months earlier: Britney and Christina Aguilera's scandalous kisses with Madonna at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards.

"He wanted a reveal," insists Lukas.

The original concept, says the stylist, was for Janet "to be in a Rocha dress, and [Justin] was going to step on the back of her dress to reveal her butt in this pearl G-string.”  However, he notes, "The outfit changed a couple of days before, and you saw the magic.”

“I wouldn’t call it a wardrobe ‘malfunction’ in a million years," adds Scot Lukas. "It was the most functioning wardrobe in history. As a stylist, it did what it was intended to do."

So why is Scot Lukas mentioning this now? He says Justin's recent public apology to Janet -- and Britney -- inspired him to come forward.

"Janet has already forgiven Justin in private. They made their peace a long time ago,” he says. However, the stylist is also trying to get his tell-all published, and a source tells Page Six that the story Lukas is telling isn't true.

As the source put it, "It feels like Wayne is now trying to sell a book."

Paula Abdul to guest-judge 'American Idol' tonight; Luke Bryan out with COVID-19

ABC/Eric McCandless

First, the good news: Paul Abdul is returning to American Idol tonight.  Now, the bad news: She's doing it because Luke Bryan is out sick.

"I’m sad to say I won’t be a part of tonight’s first live @AmericanIdol show," Luke wrote on Twitter. "I tested positive for COVID but I’m doing well and look forward to being back at it soon."

American Idol's Instagram notes, "Luke will be missed at our first #AmericanIdol LIVE show tonight, but he is resting now in quarantine at home and we’re wishing him a speedy recovery. We’re so excited to announce @paulaabdul will be stepping in as a guest judge to join Lionel Richie and Katy Perry as we get closer to crowning a new winner!"

In a statement, the show also notes, "Production is following strict, rigorous, COVID guidelines and we are all being tested often in accordance with those guidelines."

This will be Paula's first time back on the show since American Idol moved to ABC. During tonight's show, 10 contestants will be sent through from the top 16, based on America's vote. Then, the remaining six contestants will get the chance to perform again for the judges, who will pick two additional hopefuls to create a top 12.

'American Idol' bringing back contestants from last year for a shot at the top 10

ABC via Getty Images

American Idol revealed its top 16 on Sunday night, but when the top 10 is set, it'll look somewhat familiar.

That's because, for the first time, the show is bringing back 10 contestants from last season to compete for the final spot in the top 10.  The "comeback contestants" will sing for America's vote on the show's April 19 episode, and voting will continue through April 26. At the end, one will be left standing to go head-to-head with this year's hopefuls.

Among the returning contestants is Arthur Gunn, who was last year's runner-up; he lost to Just Sam. Louis Knight and Makayla Phillips, who made the top 11 are also returning.  The rest of the comeback kids had previously made it as far as the top 20.

As you may recall, last season, starting with the Top 20 show, all the contestants had to perform from their homes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The finale also took place at home, which meant that when Just Sam won, instead of standing on the stage in a shower of confetti in front of a cheering crowd, she was alone in her apartment.

Here's the full list of contestants from last year who are coming back:

Faith Becnel
Franklin Boone
Dwayne Crocker Jr.
Cyniah Elise
Arthur Gunn
Aliana Jester
Louis Knight
Nick Merico
Makayla Phillips
Olivia Ximines

Britney Spears celebrates sister Jamie Lynn Spears' 30th birthday: "Wish I was as strong as you"

Image Group LA/Disney Channel via Getty Images

Britney Spears took a walk down memory lane to celebrate her little sister's 30th birthday.

"Happy belated birthday to this beautiful soul," gushed Britney while sharing a never-before-seen undated photo of herself and sister Jamie Lynn Spears

"I love you so much and damn it I wish I was as smart as you at 30," raved the "Toxic" singer. "It's weird to say that I was basically your momma when you were younger and yes I'm still older but your soul is and always has been wise."

Britney, 39, continued praising her little sister by writing, "I’m truly and genuinely inspired by your path and the life you have created for your beautiful children and I'm so f***ing proud to call someone as beautiful inside as you my sister."

"Not only are you a beautiful soul you're so DAMN STRONG," Britney added, noting how Jamie would always win their play-wrestling matches.

"You put me to the floor in literally two seconds after I gave all my might," Britney remarked, adding, "I’ll never forget it!!! Maybe we should have a rematch...I mean, things have changed since 6 years ago."

The singer closed out with a heartfelt, "wish I was as strong as you and happy birthday."

Jamie Lynn turned 30 on April 4. She has two children; one from a previous relationship and one from her current marriage to James Watson.

Someone who bears a remarkable resemblance to Justin Timberlake is also featured in the sweet photo, leading fans to speculate that it might be Britney's subtle way of acknowledging his apology for how he treated her after their breakup.
